Rental Requirements
In order to rent a car with Enterprise Rent-A-Car you must cover the following requirements in original:


1. Official Identification
It requires a valid official identification, passport or driver licence's. Photocopies will not be accepted.


2. Driver's License
In order to rent a Enterprise Rent-A-Car vehicle, a valid driver's license is required and must be shown at time of rental. Photocopies will not be accepted.

3. Age Requirement
The minimum age to rent a car in Mexico is 25. All renters between 21 and 24 years of age must pay an additional daily charge of $90 pesos plus taxes, depending upon the city.


4. Credit Card
All clients must present a valid credit card at the time of the opening of the lease.


VISA, MasterCard and American Express credit cards are accepted.

Credit cards are accepted from department stores that are validated by VISA or MASTERCARD.

Rental Guarantee

At the time of opening the contract you will be asked for a credit card to make a pre-authorization as a guarantee of the rent that goes from $ 5,000 pesos onwards according to the category of the car, number of days of rent, protections * and additional services, as well as the final charges resulting from the rent.

Debit cards are not accepted for the rental guarantee. They will only be accepted as a payment method when returning the vehicle.

No Enterprise Rent-A-Car location accepts cash as a form of rental guarantee. Transfers and / or bank deposits are accepted as an account advance for the rent prior to the closing of the contract.

* The amount of guarantee will be reduced to a minimum with the hiring of Total Protection that includes Deductible Protection (DP). In case of not contracting the Protection of Material Damages (CDW) the minimum amount of income guarantee will be $ 45,000 pesos or $ 2,500 US dollars.

Important Note:
The Third Party Liability (TPL) is mandatory in all rentals NO EXCEPTIONS.


In Mexico, the Protection of Third Party Damages (Civil Liability) is required by law in all vehicles. This coverage can be acquired in our branches which will cover for the damages caused to third parties (TPL), the acquisition of such protection will be mandatory unless the client presents a valid proof of specific coverage of third party damage protection or valid liability Civil insurance and valid in Mexico, issued by an insurance company and that as a preferential beneficiary is signaled to the car rental company.


Liability insurance purchased on third-party travel websites and credit insurance that accompanies the United States or debit cards are not acceptable forms of coverage.

If the client provides acceptable proof of third party damage protection coverage or current liability insurance in Mexico and declines the acquisition of Third Party Damage Protection (TPL) offered at the branch desk, the minimum guarantee amount of the rent that will be withheld on the credit card will be $ 45,000 pesos or $ 2,500 US dollars.


Insurances

This protection covers civil liability for damages caused to third parties in their property or persons up to $ 4,000,000 (four million pesos 00/100 M.N.) per event.

Protection from Material Damage and Total Theft (CDW-TP).

This protection protects the material damage suffered by the rented vehicle as a result of collision or rollover, glass breakage, natural phenomena, vandalism and unprovoked fire (CDW). It also covers in a complementary way the Total Theft of the unit (TP) under the invariable application of a deductible of 10% of the commercial value of the rented vehicle.


This protection covers the total commercial value of the vehicle at the time of the loss under the application of deductible of 10% of the commercial value of the same.

In case of contracting of Deductible Protection from the opening of the contract the deductible of the material damages covered by the Protection of Material Damages (CDW) will be reduced to 0%. In the case of Total Theft (TP), the deductible is not reduced and remains at 10% of the commercial value of the vehicle.


This protection does not cover the theft of auto parts, nor damages to the interior of the vehicle.

Protection of Occupant Medical Expenses (PAI)
This protection covers medical expenses caused by bodily injury suffered by the driver or any occupant of the vehicle for rent as a result of a car accident while they are inside the vehicle and does not exceed the capacity of occupants of the unit. The maximum limit of this protection is $ 400,000 pesos per event.


Even when the protection is sold separately, it will only apply with the contracting of the Material Damage Protection (CDW). If the client decides to decline the contracting of the Material Damage Protection (CDW) this protection will not take effect and the client will be responsible for the total of the damage caused to the rental vehicle.

Asistencia Vial en el Camino (RSA)
Esta protección ampara la prestación de los servicios de asistencia vial con motivo de accidente o avería en los siguientes casos.


Asistencia Vial.- en caso de descompostura, falla mecánica, falta de combustible, neumático ponchado o acumulador descargado que impida la circulación de la unidad, se brindará la asistencia vial. Para el caso de faltante de combustible se cubrirá el servicio de asistencia, mas no así el costo del combustible, mismo que se cargará al cierre del contrato.

Servicio de cerrajería.- en caso de extravío, daño u olvido de la llave dentro de la unidad, se llevará el duplicado o se enviará a un proveedor especializado para la apertura del auto. En caso de extravío o daño solo se cubre el servicio de asistencia, el costo de compostura o reposición de la llave será absorbido por el cliente y se generará un cargo extra al cierre del contrato.

Esta cobertura se otorga dentro de un radio de 40 km de la sucursal mas cercana.

Pre-Paid

Pre-Paid Reservations
The credit card used for prepayment must be physically presented when opening the lease and must have sufficient funds available to cover the pre-authorization required for contract signing. The credit card must be signed by the same cardholder whose name is on the contract itself, either as principal driver (direct contracting) or as additional driver of the rental unit.


Reservation Policies on prepaid reservation made through travel agencies and/or Accredited Business Intermediaries of Enterprise Rent-A-Car

It is not necessary to present the same credit card used for prepayment, as this was already done by the travel agency and/or accredited business intermediary, however the client still must present a personal credit card at contract opening. The travel agency and/or accredited business intermediary will pay the rental fee with the corporate credit card used for booking.

The direct customer (main driver) must always meet all the normal lease requirements at the time of contract opening. Additional or extra charges will be paid by the client at the time of contract issuance.

The prepayment charge will be invoiced when the travel agency and/or accredited business intermediary executive books the reservation through the Corporate Accounting department.


Cancelations and No Show Pre-paid Reservations

Cancellation and no show policies remain unchanged and are applicable to prepaid clients.
- In case of cancellation you will be charged 10% of the reservation amount.
- Failure to fulfill the reservation (No Show) will result in a charge of 20% of the reservation amount.
- Date changes may not be made on prepaid reservations
- For pre-paid reservations through discounted rates, no changes or refunds apply.
-The refund of the amount to be reimbursed from the pre-payment will be made in a period of 15 to 25 business days, once the cancellation is confirmed.

Late Charges
Every Enterprise-Rent-A-Car location calculates rates based on a 24 hour period from the time of rental. If a car is not returned on time a late charge will be applied.

Additional services

Mobile Device
The rental of the Mobile Device has a cost per day between $220 to $294 pesos plus taxes, depending upon the city. Please ask for availability by calling toll free from Mexico at 800-737-3722

Car Seats
The daily charge is $90 to $150 pesos plus taxes. Please ask for availability by calling toll free 800-737-3722 from Mexico.

Chauffeur Service
Chauffeur service is subject to availability. The cost varies by city and may be requested by calling 800-737-3722 from Mexico.


Additional costs for chauffeur's travel expenses (meals and lodging) are not included in the hourly rate and will be covered directly by the customer.

Additional Drivers
In all our offices there is a daily charge for each additional driver. The daily charge for each additional driver of $90 pesos plus taxes, depending upon the city.


All additional drivers must meet the same requirements as the principal driver, must present a valid driver's license, be present with the principal driver and sign the rental contract.

Underage Driver
The minimum age to rent a car in Mexico is 25. All renters between 21 and 24 years of age must pay an additional daily charge of $90 pesos plus taxes, depending upon the city..


All additional drivers must meet the same requirements as the principal driver, must present a valid driver's license, be present with the principal driver and sign the rental contract.

Protections Extension
The cost per day of the protection extension to cross the border to the US is $ 200 pesos plus taxes. Applies only to rents in the cities of Tijuana, Monterrey, Hermosillo, Ciudad Juárez, Chihuahua, Saltillo and Mexicali.

Drop Off Charge
All one-way rentals are subject to a drop off charge which varies by type of vehicle.


Gasolina Pre-Paid Gas
This additional service allows you to save time since the pre-paid gas tank does not need to go to the gas station. The cost of the Pre-paid Gas service depends on the type of car selected and the tank capacity of the same. If on returning the unit has a remaining gasoline this will not be. discounted from the cost contracted or reimbursed.

Aditional Charges  

Damages
The charge will be made for this concept when the rental car has suffered an accident and has aesthetic and / or mechanical damage, you will be required to complete an accident form and then the charge will be made to cover the deductible indicated in the protections contracted or the complete damage in case of having declined the protections.


Gasoline
All of our Enterprise Rent-A-Car offices deliver cars with a full fuel tank at the time of rental. If at the time of return of the unit has a lower amount of fuel than the one recorded on the inspection sheet generated at the time of delivery of the car, the cost established by the lessor for the service must be paid for filling the tank together with the cost of fuel.

Airport Tax
All the rents made in the airports offices are subject to a charge for this concept, whose value varies from 15 to 18% depending on the city.

Late Charges
Every Enterprise Rent-A-Car location calculates rates based on a 24 hour period from the time of rental. If a car is not returned on time a late charge will be applied.

Vehicle License Fee
The charge for vehicle license is a recovery fee referring to paperwork and vehicle taxes such as title, register, plates and verification.



Assistance

Mechanical Problems and Roadside assistance
In case that the rental vehicle suffers some mechanical failure it will be necessary to communicate by telephone to the office where you rented your car so that the necessary road assistance is provided. Some assistance services may generate an additional cost according to the level of protection acquired and the necessary support. 


Accidents and / or Total Theft
In case of emergency we suggest you report any accident to the competent authorities to 066.

Additionally, it must be reported to Enterprise Rent-A-Car in a period no longer than 24 hrs. after the accident to the telephone number of the office where he rented the car. You will be required to complete an accident form.
